Privacy and data

IndieLabrador has no public user accounts. This page describes the information used to run the site and its submission features.

Information you submit

Game submissions and game jam registrations ask for a contact email. We store it with the submission so admins can review and manage it. It is not included in public game listings or feeds. Submission forms also store the submitted game or jam details and the time you accepted the promotional-use consent.

Site operation and measurements

Aggregate game page visits, Steam link clicks, sponsored game impressions, and sponsored game clicks are stored by game or campaign and day. These counters do not include a visitor ID or IP address. The browser keeps short-lived cooldown and duplicate-count markers in local or session storage; these are not sent as identifiers.

The server uses request IP addresses in memory for rate limits and submission cooldowns. Failed admin login attempts also store the IP in a restricted database table shared across server instances; entries are deleted after 30 minutes without another attempt, and successful login clears the entry. Application logs do not include raw client IP addresses. Admin sessions use an httpOnly session cookie.

Providers and embedded content

Supabase hosts the application database. Cloudflare Turnstile protects public submission forms. Game pages can load YouTube video embeds and thumbnails. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights are enabled; Sentry error reporting runs only when its DSN is configured. These providers may receive technical connection or usage information when their services are used, under their own privacy practices.
